HAPPY YOUTH ART MONTH
This month we are celebrating Youth Art Month! All grades are busy working toward completing projects for our upcoming "Evening of the Arts" on May 2nd, 2019. Art Club participants are helping to get the art work ready for the musical performance that Drama & Chorus will be presenting on the "Evening of the Arts".
Art Club meets: 3/7,3/14,3/21 & 3/28.
February is Black History Month!
This month in 3rd -5th grades we will be exploring different famous African American Artists who have made a significant contribution in history through their art work. Some of the artists who we will be discussing are: Romare Bearden, Faith Ringgold, Gordon Parks, and Jacob Lawrence.
Kindergarten: Texture in drawing & clay
First grade: 3D Heart designs in drawing and sculpture
Second grade: Color VALUE: Tints & Shades
Winter Break is the week of 2/18-2/22~No School this week!
